Robert Randal Anderson, 82, of La Monte, passed away Thursday, October 15, 2009, at Golden Valley Memorial Hospital in Clinton.

He was born February 23, 1927, in Knob Noster, a son of Raymond Hogan and Edith Anne Renfrow Anderson. On March 18, 1951, in Knob Noster, he married Marian L. Ginn, who survives of the home.

Mr. Anderson was a famer and raised cattle. He also retired from Pittsburgh Corning after 33 years. He was a member of Community of Christ Church and the Country Bumpkin Square Dance Club. He and Marian served as club presidents, district presidents, and delegates to the state for the square dance club. He enjoyed playing cards, hunting, fishing, and visiting with family and friends.

In addition to his wife, survivors include four daughters, Nora Nelson, of Amsterdam, MO, Linda Findley (Larry), of Blue Springs, Dorothy Salsman (Sam), of Kingsville, and Roberta Vickrey (Ken), of Knob Noster; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; his aunt, Anna Marie Renfrow; a niece, Robin Garcia; and nephews, Ray, Richard, and Ron Anderson.

He was predeceased by his parents; a brother, Neil Anderson; and a son-in-law, Elvis E. Nelson.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Community of Christ Church, 2000 S. Ingram, Sedalia, with Elder Mary Jo Sartin and Rev. Sandy Feeler officiating.

Casket bearers will be grandsons, Rob Wensch, Matt Vickrey, Erich Schmidt,  and nephews, Ray Anderson, Richard Anderson, and Ron Anderson.

Honorary bearers will be Bruce Morton, Norman Morton, Doug Tucker, Jim Edwards, Don Lewis, Milton Kohl, Jack DeVorss, and Glen Johnson.

Burial will be in Knob Noster Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Heckart Funeral Home.
