Evelyn Rodgers, 82, of Sedalia, died Monday, February 28, 2005, at Fair View Nursing Home.
She was born November 17, 1922, in Kansas City, Kan., daughter of Joseph Craig and Josephine Colvin Barker. On August 27, 1947, in Kansas City, Kan., she was married to Harry Rodgers, who survives of the home.
Mrs. Rodgers was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church and the Sedalia Organ Club. She was a graduate of Kansas City Kansas Community College.
Survivors also include two daughters, Becky Kahle, of Brooklyn Center, Minn., and Sally Downard, and her husband, Gene, of Overland Park, Kan.; two sisters, Jean Delich, of Kansas City, Kan., and Janice Schneider, of Parkville; five grandchildren, Aaron Kahle, Nathan Kahle, Rachel Kahle, Chris Downard and Emily Downard; and a great granddaughter, Madison
Kahle.
She was predeceased by a sister, Elizabeth Sowers.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 3, 2005, at Our Savior Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Ronald Hoehne officiating.
The family will receive friends at a luncheon following the service Thursday at the church. Friends may sign the guest register from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday at Heckart/Gillespie Funeral Home.
The family suggests memorial contributions to Our Savior Lutheran Church or Bothwell Hospice.
