Mrs. Rossi was a Catholic. She was a member of the Avion Club and Good Sams Club. She attended Sedalia schools and lapidary class at Hartenll Junior College in Salinas, Calif. She enjoyed quilting and canning. She was a rock hound (lapidary geologist). She was an avid bowler and was the State of California, Class D, bowling champion in 1961. She lived in Salinas for more than 40 years. She retired and moved back to Sedalia 10 years ago.
Also surviving are three sons, Jimmy Joe Clifford and Johnny Lee Clifford, both of Sedalia, and Gary Pat Clifford, and his wife, Ann, of Tuscola, Ill.; a daughter, Donna Kay Clifford, of Sedalia; two brothers, George Thomas Curtis, of Warsaw; and Jerry Curtis, of Ivy Bend; three sisters, Ann Schilb and Jeanette Moore, both of Sedalia, and Jane Harrison, of La Monte; 17 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a grandson, Patrick Eugene Clifford.
Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 11, 2005, at Heckart/Gillespie Colonial Chapel. Burial will be in the Longwood Cemetery. There will be no formal visitation.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the Bothwell Hospice.
Valindia Elizabeth Rossi, 83, of Sedalia, died Sunday, June 5, 2005, at her home.
She was born June 21, 1921, in Sedalia, a daughter of John Henry and Lois Elizabeth Ward. On Dec. 1, 1956, in Reno, Nev., she was married to Americo Rossi, who survives of the home.
