Mr. Parker was a foreman for Tempel-Callison Construction Company. He was a member of Sedalia Rod and Gun Club, and enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. He was a Navy veteran of World War II.
Surviving are a son, Mike Parker, and his wife, Debbie, of Springfield; two granddaughters, Micah Washam, and her husband, Kirk, and Amanda Parker; a great granddaughter, Parker Washam; two sisters, Mildred Paden, of Spring, Texas, and Edith Knight, of Hughesville; and his companion, Dolly Williams.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by a brother, James Parker; and two sisters, Mabel McNeal and Viola Cramer.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, December 23, 2008, at Heckart Funeral Home, with the Rev. Chris Ruddell officiating.
Pallbearers will be Billy Millsap, Allen Brosch, Connie Koch, Lester Knight, Bret Knight and Jeremy Franklin.
Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until service time Tuesday at Heckart Funeral Home.
Robert Franklin Parker, 83, of Sedalia, died Saturday, Dec. 20, 2008, in Camden County, Missouri, as a result of a hunting accident.
He was born April 8, 1925, in Sedalia, a son of Earl C. and Daisy Dillow Parker. On Dec. 3, 1944, in Sedalia, he was married to Jeanette M. Cramer, who died July 9, 1993.
