Betty Jean Sanford, 78, formerly of Sedalia, died Saturday, November 18, 2006 at St.
John’s Hospital in Springfield.
She was born June 26, 1928 in Sedalia a daughter of Lymon and Effie Mulleneaux
Guymon. On June 28, 1946 in Sedalia she married Harley Eugene Sanford who preceded her on October 30, 1995.
Mrs. Sanford was an assistant manager for Sears retiring in 1980. She was a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church in Springfield and was a member of the Red Hat Society.
Survivors include a son Michael Eugene Sanford and his wife, Judy of Newark, Cal., A daughter Pamela Warnecke, Springfield; five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; a sister, Helen Finley,Sedalia; and a brother, Lymon Guymon, Sedalia. She was predeceased by a son, Dennis Sanford, three brothers, Bill, Glenn and Don Guymon and four sisters, Hazel Shoe, Mary Lou Gardner, Barbara McMullin and Mildred Thomas
Graveside services and burial will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Memorial Park
Cemetery with Rev. Roy Dameron officiating.
There will be no formal visitation, however friends may call after 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at
