Mr. Schmidt was lead singer of the bands “Level” and “Hollywood Alley.” He was
manager of a night club in Columbia. He was a member of Community of Christ Church in
Sedalia.

Surviving are two daughters, Storme Williams and Kaelynn Schmidt, both of
Columbia; his mother and stepfather, Janet and Bob Tucker, of Sedalia; his father, Richard Schmidt Sr., of Texas; three brothers, Jason Schmidt, of Sedalia, Dustin Schmidt, of Otterville, and Jarrett Tucker, of Sedalia; a sister, Casey Schmidt, of Sedalia; his maternal grandmother, Ardith Jones, of Keokuk, Iowa; his maternal step grandfather, Albert Tucker, of Green Ridge; a special friend, Rachel Bailey; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 20, 2007, at Community of Christ Church.

Richard Dennis “Ric” Schmidt Jr., 35, of Columbia, died Saturday, Dec. 15, 2007, at University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia.

He was born Nov. 8, 1972, in Keokuk, Iowa, a son of Richard Dennis Sr. and Janet Jones Schmidt.
