Mr. Schultz was an army veteran of the Cuban crisis. He owned and operated Schultz
Wrecking Services. He attended local dirt track races, he enjoyed going to the boats, and he loved to spend time with family and friends. He was a member of the Army First Division, Sedalia board of Variance Committee, Missouri Mudders Association, St. Louis Int. Race Way off Road Drag Champion, Charter Member Ruff Rider Off Road Club, 3 County CB Club. He was the youngest president of Odd Fellows and a State Fellow.
Surviving are a daughter Sherri L. Schultz Meyer and her husband Mike, of Cole Camp, two sons Terry L. Schultz, of Sedalia, Richard Schultz and his wife Lisa, of Versailles, a sister Beverly Reedy, of Sedalia, and six grandchildren. Predeceased by his parents and a sister Barbara Cullner.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. at Heckart Funeral Home on Thursday, June 19, 2008.
Pallbearers will be Brett Boatman, John Sudduth, Jack Osborn, Dale Todd, David Ward, David Furnell Walt Loveland, and Joe Funk.
Burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Sedalia.
The family suggest that memorial contributions go to the Mid-Mo Humane Society.
Family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 18, 2008 at the
funeral home.
Alvin Kermit Schultz, Jr., of Sedalia, died Sunday June 15, 2008, at home.
He was born in Sedalia, son of A.K. and Imogene Hutchinson Schultz. In March of 1968 he married Sharon L. Ashbrook who survives.
