Edwin "Gordon" Scott, 56, of Sedalia, died Thursday, September 4, 2003 at his home.
He was born August 20, 1947, in Sedalia, son of Douglas and Iola Marie Fuller Scott. On November 1, 1984, in Searcy County, Arkansas, he married Suellen Harrison, who survives of the home.
Mr. Scott was a 1966 graduate of Smith-Cotton High School and was a lifelong resident of Sedalia. He worked for Great Plains Pipeline Construction in the late sixties and early seventies and then continued working as a carpenter. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and NASCAR.
Also surviving are two sons, Cameron Gordon Scott and Joseph Harrison Scott, both of Sedalia; three grandchildren, Brandon Scott, Erica Scott and Cole Scott, all of Sedalia; and his mother, Iola Scott Harsch of Sedalia.
Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, September 5 at the Heckart/Gillespie Funeral Home. There will be no family visitation. Friends may also sign the guest register online at www.heckart-gillespie.com.
The family suggests memorial contributions to Bothwell Hospice.
