Mrs. Shackles was a member of First Baptist Church, where she was active in several organizations. She was also a member of DBA Bridge Club, Smith-Cotton Class of 1957 committee, and Missouri Right to Life. She enjoyed reading, shopping and spending time with family and friends. She worked as a dental assistant for her husband, Leonard Shackles, dental practice. She was a homemaker and a wonderful, loving wife for over 50 years. She had lived in Sedalia all of her life.
Survivors include a son, Kent Shackles, and his wife, Jennifer, of Sedalia; a brother, Harold Skidmore, and his wife, Erma Lee, of Sedalia; a sister, Dema Orcutt, and her husband, Mel, of Spokane, Washington; and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, John Len Shackles; her mother and father.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, January 21, 2006, at First Baptist Church, with the Rev. Dr. Drew Hill officiating.
Pallbearers will be David Boyd Shackles, Dale Anderson, Ray Combs, Jim Elkins, Pete Simokorowski and Dr. Murray Whitehead. Honorary pallbearers will be Pat Allen, Charlie Moore, Ron Cunningham and Dr. Richard Barlet.

Anna Lee Shackles, 66, of Sedalia, died Saturday, January 14, 2006, at her home.
She was born June 15, 1939, in Sedalia, a daughter of Arley Lee and Anna Velma Sanders Skidmore. On August 14, 1960, in Sedalia, she married Leonard Shackles, who survives of the home.
