Mrs. Shine was a member of Emmett Avenue Baptist Church, where she was a Sunday School teacher for 35 years and a member of the Women’s Missionary Union. She was also a member of TOPS. She taught school in Benton County prior to moving to Sedalia. She worked for Lamy’s Manufacturing for more than seven years and was a homemaker. She was a loving mother, grandmother and a good friend to all. She has touched many lives with her ministry. She will be missed by all, but will be in our hearts forever.
Surviving are two sons, Alan R. Shine, and his wife, Sandy, and Jerry D. Shine, and his wife, Lawana, all of Springfield; a daughter, Donna J. Reid, of Sedalia; six grandchildren, Tyler Reid, Stefania Hannah, Monica McClelland, and Ashley, Jerrica and Marshall Shine.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5, at Heckart Funeral Home, with the Rev. Dr. Donald Allcorn officiating.
Pallbearers will be Tyler Reid, Joe Kowaski, Chris Kowaski, Jake Daleen, Roger Mueller, Charlie Ross and Matt Hannah.
Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until service time Friday at Heckart Funeral Home.

Mildred Geraldine Shine, 82, of Sedalia, died Monday, December 1, 2008, at Sylvia G. Thompson Residence Center.
She was born May 8, 1926, in Warsaw, Missouri, a daughter of Earl and Elsie Barb Rank. On April 28, 1950, in Sedalia, she married Edward Shine, who died December 3, 1971.
