Joane Shoemaker, 51, of Sedalia, died Sunday, September 28, 2003, in Saline County, as a result of injuries suffered in an automobile accident.
She was born October 7, 1951, daughter of William "Bill" and Mary Weathers Hunter. In May of 1991, in Sedalia, she married Clarence Wayne Shoemaker, who survives of the home.
Survivors include two sons, Roy Toliver and Kevin Toliver, both of Sedalia; two daughters, Atriska Dillon of Sedalia, and Lin Kroeger of Smithton; her mother and stepfather, Mary and Alvin Wombles of Sedalia; eight grandchildren; four brothers, David Hunter, Clarence Hunter, Dennis Hunter and Eddie Hunter, all of Sedalia; and two sisters, Janie Dickerson and Linda Hunter, both of Sedalia.
She was preceded in death by her father; and a brother, Bobby Hunter.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, October 2 at the Heckart/Gillespie Colonial Chapel, with Pastor Tony Kroeger officiating. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Clarence Hunter, Kevin Toliver, Al Kroeger, Bobby Ollison, Greg Coufal and Eddie Hunter.
The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
