Erma Dovie Short, 93, of Homosassa, Fla., formerly of Green Ridge, died Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2007, at the Hernando House in Brooksville, Florida, under the care of Hernando-Pasco Hospice.
Mrs. Short was born Jan. 1, 1914, in Green Ridge, a daughter of Clyde and Stella Barrow Meyers. She was married to Lee Harold Short, who died earlier.
Mrs. Short moved to Florida eight years ago from her native Green Ridge. She was a homemaker and enjoyed quilting, puzzles and all types of dogs, including poodles. She was Protestant.
Surviving are a son, Donald E. Short, and his wife, Lynne, of Homosassa; two grandchildren, Greg Short, and his wife, Annette, of Trenton, Fla., and Mike Short, and his wife, Lorri, of Tallahassee, Fla.; and three great-grandchildren, Kristen, Davis and Logan Short.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, October 25, 2007, at Green Ridge Cemetery.
