Sharon Stephens, 60, of La Monte, died Friday, August 27, 2004 at Bothwell Regional Health Center.

She was born November 1, 1943, in Pettis County, daughter of William Henry and Eula Fae Houk Ash. On August 5, 1988, in Miami, Oklahoma, she was married to Conrad Stephens, who survives of the home.

Mrs. Stephens helped start C.A.S.A. in Sedalia. She enjoyed flower gardening, crafting, her pets, cooking and bird watching. She was a friend, housewife and partner.

Also surviving are two sons, Michael Fischer, and his wife, Sandra, and Nicholas Fischer, and his wife, Elaine, all of Sedalia; a daughter, Nicole Schwartz, of Harrisonville; a step daughter, Suzann Fisher, and her husband, Dennis, of Sedalia; her mother, Eula Fae Ash, of Sedalia; a brother, Keith Ash, of Florida; ten grandchildren, Danielle Fischer, Amanda Fischer, Brenten Schultz, Christina Bakert, Chastity Schwartz, Bailey Schwartz, Alexandria Schwartz, Jacob Okabayashi, Michael Fisher and Zachary Fisher; and a great grandson, Isaac Schultz.

She was predeceased by her father; a sister, Shirley Gordon; and a brother, in infancy.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, August 31, 2004 at Heckart/Gillespie Colonial Chapel, with the Rev. Dr. Donald J. Allcorn officiating.

Pallbearers will be Clayton E. Stephens, Daniel Smith, John D. Runge, Glen Powell, John Berry and Mike Watring.

Honorary pallbearers will be Anthony Schwartz, Mary Ellen Sumner, Jo Ann Greer and Linda Minkler.

Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Friends may call after 8:30 a.m. Monday, August 30, 2004 at Heckart/ Gillespie Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 6:30-8 p.m. Monday.
