Clarence Emmet “Sonny” Wombles, 52, of Sedalia, died Wednesday, September 21, 2005, at Bothwell Regional Health Center.
He was born March 6, 1953, in Sedalia, a son of James and Emma Mary Aldrich Crum. On June 1, 1973, in Sedalia, he was married to Verna Sites, who survives of the home.
Mr. Wombles was a member of First Baptist Church. He enjoyed camping, woodworking, working on vehicles, collecting, carousels, and spending time with his family.
Also surviving are a son, James Wombles, and his wife, Bellinda, of Sedalia; a daughter, Crystal Wombles, of Sedalia; a brother, Donald Wombles, of the state of Washington; and a granddaughter, Paige Wombles.
Memorial services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday, September 26, 2005, at Heckart/Gillespie Colonial Chapel, with the Rev. Alvin Sipes officiating.
