Mr. Teague was a farmer and cattle rancher. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Roy spent countless hours teaching his three sons to follow the traditions of his family. Riding, roping and raising quality quarter horses was a goal that was sought after everyday. Roy awoke every morning aside his high-school sweetheart, Kathryn, to whom he has been married for 38 years.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Kevin Teague, and his wife, Jody, of Cole Camp, Justin Teague, and his wife, Lillian, of Burbank, OK, and Jeremy Teague, and his fiancé, Johni Beth, of Sheridan, AR; four grandchildren, Kaelyn, Kadin, Dally and Bailey; two brothers, Durwood and Dwayne; and a sister, Lajuanna.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Fair Grove Cemetery in Green Forest, AR.
Casket bearers will be Jeff Day, Steve Day, Tom Smith, Bill Haines.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Heckart Funeral Home.
Roy Calvin Teague, 58, of Hughesville, passed away Wednesday morning, May 6, 2009, at his home.
He was born March 7, 1951, in Muleshoe, Texas, a son of Virgil and Helen Head Teague. On March 27, 1971, in Green Forest, AR, he married Kathryn L. Thompson, who survives of the home.
