Zoe A. Thorp, 94, of Pilot Grove, formerly of Sedalia, died Monday, Oct. 10,
2005, at Katy Manor in Pilot Grove.
She was born July 26, 1911, in Liberal, a daughter of Lee and Frances Conrad
Bunton. In 1930, she was married to William V. Thorp, who died Feb. 2, 1988.
Mrs. Thorp was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She was involved in the
OATS program and enjoyed traveling and doing crafts.
Survivors include a daughter-in-law, Patty Thorp, of Sedalia; two grandchildren, W. Charles Thorp and Edward A. Thorp; three great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a son, William Thorp; a daughter, Donna Holstein;
five brothers; a sister; and a grandson, Michael Matt Thorp.
Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Saturday, October 15, 2005, at Heckart/ Gillespie Colonial Chapel.
Pallbearers will be Bob Karbinas, Jack Ensmiger, Ken Walker and Merlin Balke.
Burial will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Valhalla Cemetery in St. Louis.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
The family suggests memorial contributions to Calvary Baptist Church or OATS.
