Mr. McFail was a bottler for Dunn Beverage and Coca-Cola for 40 years, retiring in 1993. He enjoyed his pets, fishing, hunting and taking his sons to and from work. He was a U.S. Army veteran and attended Salvation Army Church.

Also surviving are three sons, Eugene McFail, and his wife, Pat, of Sedalia, Allen McFail, and his wife, Rebecca, of Springfield, and Edward McFail, of the home; a stepson, Mahlon Theobald, of Dresden; a stepdaughter, Brenda Joyce Theobald, of Kansas City; two brothers, John McFail Jr., and his wife, Wilma, of Houstonia, and Tom McFail, and his wife, Alma, of Otterville; a half-sister, Rosie Carver, of Florence; a grandson, Matthew Allen; four stepgrandchildren, Michael Riley, Jessie Rene, Mahlon Theobald III and Jennifer Elizabeth Lawyer; and three stepgreatgrandchildren, Mackenzie, Riley, Joseph and Julie. He was predeceased by his parents; two brothers, Glen McFail and Jessie McFail; a sister, Mattie Joyce McFail; a half-brother, James T. Garrigus; and two half-sisters, Betty Hughes and Mitzie Gildersleeve.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 11, 2006, at Heckart/Gillespie Colonial Chapel, with the Rev. Sandy Feeler officiating. Pallbearers will be Gary Wasson, Emmett Jackson, Charlie McFail, Kenny Vickrey, Jesse O. McFail and Bobby Smith. Joe Cochran will be an honorary pallbearer. Burial will be in Highland Sacred Gardens, with military honors conducted by VFW Post 2591.

The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home.

The family suggests memorial contributions to American Cancer Society.
Edgar L. “Teddy” McFail, 72, of Sedalia, died Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2006, at Bothwell Regional Health Center.

He was born July 22, 1934, in Sedalia, a son of John Ives and Dora Carver McFail. In Aug. 1958, in Sedalia, he was married to Dorothy Hughes, who survives of the home.
