Alma Ruth Tomlinson, 83, of Archie, formerly of Sedalia, died Wednesday, October 26, 2005, at her home.

She was born March 17, 1922, in Prairie Home, a daughter of John Albert and Lena
Schler Class. On May 25, 1947, in Prairie Home, she was married to George Edgar
Tomlinson, who died October 12, 1996.

Mrs. Tomlinson was a member of First Baptist Church of Archie, where she was a
member of the Golden Circle Sunday school class. She enjoyed cooking and quilting, and was a member of the Chat and Sew quilting group. She lived in Sedalia from 1960 to 1985, when she moved to Archie to be closer to her grandchildren.

Surviving are a son, George Albert Tomlinson, and his wife, Twila, of Archie; a
daughter, L. Jane Herron, of Clinton; two sisters, Josephine Cary Engelhardt, of New
Braunfels, Texas, and Marjorie Foster, and her husband, Donald, of Ashdown, Ark.; three grandchildren, Elizabeth Morgan, and her husband, Matt, Janet Tomlinson, and Jayson Tomlinson, and his wife, Melissa; and three great grandchildren, Ainsley, Brianna and Christina Morgan. She was predeceased by a brother, Carl Class.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church of Archie, with
the Rev. Jeff Paul officiating. Burial will be in Crescent Hill Cemetery in Adrian.
Pallbearers will be Clayton Knepp, Eddie Bellis, Craig Brashears, Gary Roberts,
Raymond Flanary and Don Eatherton. Honorary pallbearers will be Matt Morgan Jayson Tomlinson, Bob Bure, Chat and Sew quilting group and Golden Circle Sunday school class.

The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Friday at Heckart/Gillespie Funeral Home. The family will also receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

The family suggests memorial contributions to First Baptist Church of Archie building fund.
