Lillian Marie Vansell, 91, of Sedalia, died Wednesday, September 29, 2004 at Bothwell Regional Health Center.

She was born November 17, 1912, in Wheatland, Missouri, daughter of Taylor and Armenta Southard Dobson. On March 23, 1978, in Warsaw, she was
married to William R. Vansell, who died June 3, 1995.
Mrs. Vansell was raised and educated in Hickory County. She worked at
Town and Country Shoes for many years. She was a member of Sedalia Pentecostal Church of God. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and loved Amber Joy dearly.

Survivors include two step sons, Jack Vansell, and his wife, Katherine, and
Ronald Vansell, and his wife, Norma, all of Sedalia; four nieces and four nephews; ten step grandchilren; twenty-six step great grandchildren; and four step great great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a step granddaughter, LaDonna Hughes; three step great grandchildren; two sisters, Irene Koehler and Myrtle Tice; and four brothers, Floyd, Lloyd, Leon and Farrell Dobson.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 2, 2004 at Heckart/Gillespie Colonial Chapel, with the Rev. J.D. Reed officiating.

Pallbearers will be Brad Vansell, Robby Vansell, David Smith, Jake Smith,
Chris Franklin and Bob Cross.

Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:30-8 p.m. Friday, October 1, 2004 at Heckart/Gillespie
Funeral Home.
