Mr. White  was a member of Green Ridge Presbyterian Church, Green Ridge
American Legion, Green Ridge Chamber of Commerce, 50 year member of Granite
Lodge #272 A.F. & A.M. and Scottish Rite Mason for 50 years. He was a livestock
and row crop farmer. He was a Navy veteran of World War II.

Surviving are two daughters, Margaret “Peggy” White, of San Diego, Calif., and Jerusha Lynn White, of Kansas City; and a brother, Orlyn White, of Versailles.

He was also predeceased by five brothers, Claude White, William White, Press White, Henry White and Jesse White Sr.; and two sisters, Grace Smith and Audra Jenkins.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 3, 2006, at Heckart/Gillespie Colonial Chapel, with the Rev. Francis O’Donnell officiating.

Pallbearers will be Gregory Richardson, Colter Stevens, John Robert White, PhillipTwenter, Brian Deutsch and Jeff Eastland.

Burial will be in Green Ridge Cemetery, with military honors by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2591.

The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

The family suggests memorial contributions to American Heart Association or
Green Ridge Cemetery.
R. Vaughn White, 91, of Green Ridge, died Saturday, April 29, 2006, at his home.

He was born May 30, 1914, in Osage Iron Works, Missouri, a son of John and Jerusha Mae Carver White. On May 30, 1941, in Sedalia, he was married to Edith Blynn Ringen, who died Jan. 23, 2005.
