Helen Reba Walk, 91, of Houstonia, died Monday, May 31, 2004 at Bothwell Regional Health Center.

She was born October 12, 1912, near Postal, in Saline County, Missouri, daughter of Chester F. and Emma B. Kabler Newton. On October 21, 1933, in Sedalia, she was married to David J. Walk, who died September 7, 1994.

Mrs. Walk was a member of Range Line Presbyterian Church and the Homemaker’s Club.

Survivors include a daughter, Nellie Nutt, of Houstonia; six grandchildren; and eleven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Janice Rayl; two sons, Charles R. Walk and David Gerald Walk; and a sister, Frances Jeffries.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, June 3, 2004 at the Heckart/Gillespie Colonial Chapel, with the Rev. Leo Birk officiating.

Pallbearers will be Paul Kellner, Bruce Morton, Jeff Rayl, Alan Rayl, Walt Long, Wally Jeffries, Darrin Walk and David Nutt.

Burial will be in Millers Chapel Cemetery.

Friends may call after noon Wednesday, June 2, 2004 at Heckart/Gillespie Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 7-8:30 p.m. Wednesday.

The family suggests memorial contributions to Millers Chapel Cemetery Fund.
