Virginia Ida Wheeler, 78, of Sedalia, died Wednesday, March 19, 2008, at Four Seasons Living Center.

She was born May 14, 1929, in West Jefferson, NC, a daughter, of Robert Lee and Lois-Nelia Jane Stuart Maines. On October 19, 1946, in Sedalia, she married Ernest R. Bidstrup, who died March 21, 1989 and on December 5, 1991, in Kansas City, MO, she married Sterling Wheeler, who survives of the home.

Mrs. Wheeler was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church. She formerly worked for Interstate Studios and was a homemaker. She lived in Sedalia most of her life.

Survivors also include, two daughters, Wilma Woolery,  and Sherelene Cripe and her husband Kenny, all of Sedalia; two step sons, Robert Wheeler, of Raytown and James Wheeler, of Phoenix, AZ; a step daughter, Sharon Sue Crump and her husband Wayne, of Sedalia; a grandson; three granddaughters, two great grandsons; five step grandchildren, four step great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by two sons, Earnest Barry Bidstrup and Wayne Bidstrup.

Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 27, 2008, at Georgetown United Methodist Church with Pastor Kenny Cripe officiating.

A private family burial will be held at a later date at Highland Sacred Gardens.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Georgetown United Methodist Church.
