Polly L. Winfrey, 87, of Sedalia, died Saturday, September 2, 2006, at Four
Seasons Living Center.
She was born October 16, 1918, in Climax Springs, a daughter of Hayes and
Roxie Boston Fisher. In 1947, in Lebanon, she was married to Louis E. Winfrey, who died earlier.
Mrs. Winfrey was a homemaker. She enjoyed playing cards, fishing and knitting.
Surviving are two daughters, Patricia Stean, and her husband, Robert, of
Sedalia, and Wilma Vinson, of Sedalia; a sister, Alice Mullens, of Sedalia; four
grandchildren, Robert Stean Jr., Nathan Vinson, Angie Logan and Gena Williams; and five great grandchildren. She was predeceased by two daughters, Kathy Jean, in infancy, and Mary Louise Banty; a son, Robert Winfrey; three sisters, Mary, Ann and Katherine; and two brothers, George, and one in infancy.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Heckart/Gillespie Colonial
Chapel. Pallbearers will be Robert Stean, Robert Stean Jr., Nathan Vinson, Wayne Parish and Kirby Anglin. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until service time Tuesday at the funeral home. The family suggests memorial contributions to Boys and Girls Club of Sedalia.
