Mrs. Wiskur was a member of Hughesville Baptist Church. She was active in 4-H and her children’s school activities. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, crafts, crocheting, watching baseball and traveling. She was a homemaker and a resident of the Hughesville community for 47 years.

Also surviving are five sons, Robert E. Wiskur, and his wife, Debbi, of Smithton, Dwight Wiskur, and his wife, Deanne, of Sedalia, Doyle Wiskur, and his wife, Marla, of Gilliam, Van Wiskur, and his wife, Missie, of Pleasant Hill, and Roger Wiskur, and his wife, Julie, of Hughesville;  three daughters, Sheryl Richardson, and her husband, Ronnie, of Hughesville, Sonya Hampy, of Sedalia, and son-in-law, Ken Hampy, of Hughesville, and Deawn Hersini, and her husband, Sia, of Geneva, N.Y.; three brothers, Fern Farnsworth, of Independence, Paul Farnsworth, of Pleasant Hill, and Gilbert Farnsworth, of Tatamy, Penn.; a sister, Madge Bahannon, of Granite Bay, Calif.; 23 grandchildren, Sheri Austin, Leah Pruitt, Jill Nieters, Daniel Richardson, Neil Wiskur, Trisha Voellinger, Derek
Wiskur, Jenette Witting, Hollie Begotner, Hadley Wiskur, Clayton Wiskur, David Wiskur, Diana Wiskur, Sharla Buso, Aaron Hampy, Shawn Hampy, Justin Wiskur, Ian Wiskur, Shadow Wiskur, Mariah Wiskur, Lakota Wiskur,
Juliauna Wiskur and Sabetha Hersini; and 13 great grandchildren, Logan Austin, Cortlen Austin, Baron Austin, Slader Pruitt, Seth Pruitt, Isaac Nieters, Matthew Richardson, Addison Wiskur, Lillian Wiskur, Erin Voellinger, Haley Wiskur, Trenton Witting and Austin Buso. 

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Clifton Farnsworth and Orbie Farnsworth; a sister, Sylvia Jordan; an infant grandson, Collin Baker Wiskur; and an infant great granddaughter, Brionna Clark.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 24, 2005, at Heckart/Gillespie Colonial Chapel, with the Rev. Tony Chapman and the Rev. Carl Gravatt officiating.

Pallbearers will be Daniel Richardson, Neil Wiskur, Derek Wiskur, Hadley Wiskur, Clayton Wiskur, David Wiskur, Aaron Hampy, Shawn Hampy, Justin Wiskur and Ian Wiskur.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Farnsworth, Sam Farnsworth, Scott Farnsworth, Keith Farnsworth, Mark Farnsworth, Gary Farnsworth, Orbie G. Farnsworth, Wayne Jordan, Harold Dean Jordan and Laverne Jordan.

Burial will be in High Point Cemetery near Hughesville.

Friends may call after 8:30 a.m. Saturday, July 23, 2005, at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Saturday.

The family suggests memorial contributions to Hughesville Baptist Church.
Wanda Arlene Wiskur, 79, of Hughesville, died Wednesday, July 20, 2005, at Specialty Hospital of
Mid-America in Overland Park, Kansas.

She was born April 4, 1926, in Quick City, Missouri, a daughter of Samuel Allen and Bertie Hixon Farnsworth. On February 28, 1944, in Warrensburg, she married Robert Leo Wiskur, who survives of the home.
