Wilma Frances Murray, 94, of Ozark, formerly of Sedalia, died Wednesday, Aug. 23, 2006, at the Baptist Home in Ozark.
She was born April 11, 1912, in Leesville, a daughter of William Elmer and
Minnie D. Sheek Carleton. On Aug. 29, 1942, in Marshall, she was married to
Daniel Henry Murray, who died June 19, 1974.
Mrs. Murray was a member of East Sedalia Baptist Church, where she played
piano. She loved her church, church family and the Republican party. She enjoyed gardening and working in her flowers. She was an election volunteer for many years. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Surviving are two sons, Daniel L. Murray, and his wife, Linda, of Naples, Fla.,
and Robert F. Murray, of Denton, Texas; five grandchildren, Stacey, Scott, Kevin, Heather and Tony; and eight great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by two sisters, Nathalia “Gertie” Poynter and Dovey
Smethers.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Heckart/Gillespie Colonial
Chapel, with the Rev. Ron Marsh officiating. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Randy Pinkston, Don Morton, C.H. Williams and Eldon
O’Neill.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the
funeral home.
